Miscellaneous Accidents Insurance Policy
Includes cash insurance and other miscellaneous accident coverages.
Concept of Coverage
Ta’awuniya Insurance Company provides “Miscellaneous (General) Accidents” insurance, which includes a set of products covering multiple types of risks.
Policies/Covers under this service
- Personal Accident Insurance: Covers death or disability resulting from an injury due to a sudden accident. The sum insured is set by the insured and forms the basis for compensation.
- Workmen’s Compensation (Employees’ Injuries): Covers workers against injuries during working hours, at the workplace, and while commuting to and from work.
- Liability Insurance: Covers the insured’s financial losses arising from civil liability toward third parties.
- Bankers Blanket Bond (BBB): Covers a broad set of risks faced by banks, including cash theft/hold-up inside the bank, cash-in-transit risks, fidelity losses caused by bank employees, forgery of cheques and other financial instruments, and hold-up risks affecting bank equipment and devices.
Cash Insurance Policy
Covers cash (and equivalents) against robbery/theft risks (excluding stated exclusions), with several forms:
- Cash-in-Safe:
Covers cash and equivalents kept in steel safes, provided theft is committed by third parties and supported by a police report.
- Cash-in-Transit:
Covers cash against fire, theft, and transit risks while transported by road to and from the insured’s workplace, provided theft is by third parties and occurred by force.
- Cashier Cash:
Covers theft of cash handled by the cashier during official working hours, committed by third parties and evidenced by a police report; treated as part of Cash-in-Safe cover.
- ATM Cash:
Covers fire and theft of cash inside ATMs within 24 hours, provided theft is by third parties, involves force/violence, and is supported by a police report.
Fidelity Guarantee (Breach of Trust)
Covers cash or stock entrusted to cashiers and storekeepers (and similar roles) against misappropriation by those entrusted persons; issued for the benefit of the applicant requesting the cover.
