An awareness seminar on medical insurance for employees of the Judicial Authority was held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at the Main Hall of the Presidency of the Judicial Authority in Bahri and East Nile. The seminar was organized in collaboration between the Employees’ Medical Treatment Committee, chaired by the Court Administration, and Ta'awuniya Insurance Company.

The event was attended by Mr. Muaz Mahdi, Rapporteur of the Employees’ Medical Treatment Committee; the Director of the Judicial Authority’s Administration; department directors; and representatives of various courts.

The seminar was held under the patronage and in the presence of His Honour Justice Abdulwahab Ahmed Ali, Judge of the Supreme Court and Head of the Judicial Authority in Bahri.

At the beginning of the seminar, Dr. Babiker Al-Makki, a member of the Employees’ Medical Treatment Committee, welcomed the attendees and expressed his appreciation to Ta'awuniya Insurance Company, commending the cooperation extended by its management and staff. He also thanked His Honour the Head of the Judicial Authority for attending and sponsoring the event, noting that this reflected his commitment to employees’ welfare and his prioritization of their concerns. He emphasized that such initiatives contribute to improving job satisfaction and motivating employees to make greater efforts. He further thanked the Court Administration and the heads of judicial authorities in Khartoum State for adopting the medical insurance project.

Ms. Shaima Mohammed Ahmed presented an overview of the procedures involved in finalizing the insurance contract with the Presidency of the Court Administration, reaffirming the company’s commitment to making further efforts to ensure the provision of quality services.

Speaking on behalf of the company, Mr. Asim Hashim Al-Khatib thanked the Head of the Judicial Authority for his attendance and patronage. He also expressed appreciation to the Judicial Authority for placing its trust in Ta'awuniya Insurance Company by contracting it to provide medical insurance coverage for its employees. He conveyed the company's pleasure in cooperating with the Judicial Authority and praised the outstanding organization and preparation demonstrated by the Bahri Authority.

Mr. Ahmed Suleiman Shashouq then addressed all questions and inquiries raised by the employees, assuring them that the company would work to overcome any challenges they might encounter.

In his closing remarks, His Honour the Head of the Judicial Authority in Bahri and East Nile welcomed the company’s delegation and highlighted the importance of medical insurance for employees, describing it as a longstanding priority for the Authority.

He called on the company to expand its medical service network, with particular attention to areas of high employee population density. He also commended the comprehensive answers provided by the company’s representative and urged employees to use their medical insurance cards responsibly and appropriately.

His Honour further affirmed his readiness to address any challenges that might arise in ensuring satisfactory medical services for employees, pledging his support and confirming that his office would remain open to the Medical Treatment Committee.

Following the seminar, the Ta'awuniya Insurance Company delegation held a meeting with His Honour the Head of the Judicial Authority in Bahri and East Nile, accompanied by members of the Medical Treatment Committee. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and further developing their partnership.
