Ta'awuniya Insurance Company Limited and Azm Microfinance Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on November 27, 2025, aimed at strengthening cooperation and developing financing and insurance services for the microfinance sector.

The agreement was signed in Port Sudan by Mr. Kamal Ibrahim Abdelwahab, Acting General Manager of Ta'awuniya Insurance Company, and Mr. Abdelkarim Mohammed Abdelghaffar, General Manager of Azm Microfinance Company.

Representing Ta'awuniya Insurance Company at the signing ceremony were Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Othman, Director of Underwriting and Reinsurance, and Mr. Mutasim Mohammed Saber, Director of Branches and Production.

Under the terms of the MoU, Ta'awuniya Insurance Company will manage and provide insurance services for financing operations carried out by Azm Microfinance Company. The insurance coverage will include risks associated with beneficiaries' insolvency, physical damage to financed projects, and Takaful coverage.

The two parties also agreed to exchange expertise, provide training, and raise insurance awareness among microfinance clients, supporting the development of integrated financing and insurance services.
