As part of efforts to strengthen partnerships between the private sector and academic institutions, Ta'awuniya Insurance Company and the University of Gezira signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at providing comprehensive insurance services to university staff, helping create a safe and stable working and learning environment.

The signing ceremony took place at the Office of the University Director. Ta'awuniya Insurance Company was represented by its Director General, Dr. Kamal Jad Karim, while the university was represented by its Director, Professor Salah El-Din Mohammed Al-Arabi.

During the ceremony, Dr. Kamal Jad Karim reaffirmed the company's commitment to supporting higher education institutions by providing advanced insurance solutions tailored to the needs of the university and its staff. He noted that partnering with the University of Gezira, one of Sudan's oldest universities, reflects the company's commitment to its social and educational responsibilities.

For his part, Professor Salah El-Din Mohammed Al-Arabi welcomed the initiative, emphasizing that it marks the beginning of broader cooperation that could extend to professional training and capacity building, helping improve the quality of education and meet Sudan's development needs.

The event also featured an exchange of commemorative honors, with the company recognizing the University Director and the university honoring the company's Director General, reflecting a spirit of mutual appreciation and cooperation. In addition, Ta'awuniya Insurance Company made a financial contribution to support the university as part of its corporate social responsibility commitment.

This agreement reflects the commitment of national companies to playing an active role in supporting higher education and promoting the principles of sustainable community development.
