Inauguration of the New Headquarters Tower

The meetings also coincided with the inauguration of Ta'awuniya Insurance Company's new headquarters tower in Khartoum, which participants regarded as a positive indicator of renewed economic activity in the capital and growing stability in the business sector.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Tareq Nour described the tower as a significant architectural and economic addition to Khartoum. He highlighted the importance of insurance, cooperative work, and social solidarity, commending the efforts of the Board of Directors, executive management, and company employees in completing the project.

He added that the National Insurance Supervisory Authority had reviewed the company's financial and technical reports through examinations and audits conducted by specialists and experts. He also congratulated the company on holding its General Assembly and achieving its reported financial results.

Significant Growth in Insurance Premiums and Financial Resources

He stated that total written premiums reached SDG 25,465,050,669, compared with SDG 6,468,169,958 in 2024.

He attributed this growth to the expansion of marketing activities, direct communication, contributions from business leaders, and support from the executive management team.

The financial report also highlighted improvements in operational performance despite economic challenges and rising operating costs. Administrative expenses reached approximately SDG 3.5 billion in 2025, compared with SDG 1 billion in 2024. However, administrative expenses as a proportion of total written premiums declined to 14%, down from 16.5% in the previous year.

Speakers explained that the company had successfully controlled expenses despite increases in fuel prices, transportation costs, rents, and the effects of displacement. The company maintained its expense ratio below the 20% ceiling established by the National Insurance Supervisory Authority.

Higher Policyholder Surplus and Shareholder Profits

The report revealed that the surplus allocated to policyholders increased to approximately SDG 3.5 billion, compared with around SDG 1.2 billion in the previous year.
